Scholarships to support students so that they may be able to finish their education at Stetson.

Full-tuition scholarship awarded to devoted and disciplined students of the arts majoring in a Creative Arts discipline (Studio Art, Art History, Digital Arts, or Theatre Arts).

Merit-based scholarships for rising seniors in the School of Business or College of Arts & Sciences with a minimum 3.2 gpa and majoring in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science or Mathematics. Selection of recipients is in the sole discretion of the Information Systems faculty in the School of Business and the Mathematics and Computer Science Department.

Need-based scholarships in the School of Business for undergraduates majoring in accounting.

To assist one student annually who is a Spanish language major. The recipient will be recommended by the Chair of the Modern Languages and Literatures Department in collaboration with faculty in Spanish. The scholarship is established in honor of Ms. Dorothy C. Minor’s (class of 1972) father, Ainslie B. Minor, who served in the United States Information Service in Brazil, Panama, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, and Haiti. His duties included student and cultural exchange programs.

To provide a men's golf scholarship. The recipient will be determined by the Coach of the Golf Team and must remain in good academic standing for the award to be received.

To assist students with financial need from Duval, St. Johns, Clay, Nassau or Baker counties. If it is determined that no eligible recipients from those counties is identified then a recipient from elsewhere in Florida will be selected. The scholarship will be renewable for up to eight semesters as long as the recipient maintains a minimum 3.0 GPA.

The purpose of the Scholarship is to provide assistance for outstanding, academically talented and performance-oriented students to attend Stetson University. Scholarship awards are made to students who plan to study in any of the schools or colleges on the DeLand campus. Preference is given to students majoring in health-care related fields or majors that relate to patient education or the medical or social problems associated with children and the elderly. Scholars will be chosen on the basis of their academic record, scholastic aptitude testing, intellectual abilities, character, leadership, and personal achievements. Recipients will have demonstrated leadership abilities, high moral character and involvement in activities of social responsibility. Recipients must maintain a 2.7 GPA (on a 4.0 scale), remain active in campus life, and may receive the Scholarship for up to eight semesters.

This scholarship is need based for students in the School of Business Administration.

Scholarships to students who are relatives of Stetson alumni. Preference is given to students who demonstrate financial need, leadership qualities, service to school and community, and at least a B+ overall average in high school or a 3.0 GPA from college for graduate school or transfer applicants. Scholarships are also available for graduate students at the College of Law and/or on the DeLand campus.

To provide two merit scholarships a year for undergraduate students. Preference will be given to Deerfield Beach, FL area residents with particular preference given to members of the First Baptist Church of Deerfield Beach.

Scholarship administered at the discretion of the University.

To provide need-based scholarships at Stetson University with first preference given to students from Volusia County.

Scholarships for deserving students.

Scholarships for ministerial students.

This is a merit-based scholarship for undergraduate students enrolled in the School of Music to recognize outstanding performance abilities and the well-rounded and leadership-oriented student.

To apply to the account of one or more needy Baptist students enrolled in the University who are preparing for full time Christian service, said student or students to be selected by the University. The Office of Financial Aid will identify student award recipients based on input from the student organization that serves Baptist students.

Scholarships for young women in the Women's Golf Program.

To provide need-based scholarships at Stetson University.

Scholarships to students pursuing a degree in the School of Business. Preference given to a minority student.

To provide need-based scholarships to women in the golf program based on athletic ability, financial need, sportsmanship, and citizenship. Recipients will be selected by the head women's golf coach in consultation with the athletic director.

Merit-based scholarships for outstanding students in Business Administration. Two or more Bank of America Scholars per year, for a minimum of eight in four years, will receive these grants, based on academic achievement and promise.

To provide financial assistance to Baptist students who have demonstrated service and leadership with their fellow students. The recipients shall be selected by the person or persons responsible for the Baptist students' spiritual development (i.e. Collegiate Campus Ministry staff in conjunction with faculty in the Department of Religious Studies) on the Stetson University campus.

Scholarships to students in the Barron String Quartet and students of stringed instruments in the School of Music in honor of Inez and Geraldine Barron Gee.

To provide need-based scholarships for students who are Florida residents and majoring in any majors within the School of Business. Recipients must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 in their high school or transfer school prior to enrollment at Stetson to be eligible, and may maintain the Scholarship from entry to graduation (up to eight semesters) with successful completion of course work. The donor would like to set a maximum award of $7,500 per student per year.

Scholarships for the benefit of needy and deserving students seeking an education in creative writing.

Scholarship based on need and merit.

To benefit students with financial need.

Scholarships for students from the Florida Baptist Children's Home in Lakeland, or any of the other Florida Baptist Children's homes.

To provide need-based scholarships (two or more per class: Freshman - Senior) for students with a 3.0 high school GPA (on a 4.0 scale) who have leadership potential and have shown to be well-rounded. Preference is given to students planning careers in any medical field (including nursing)/ business; teaching; or Religious Studies. Students must maintain a 2.5 GPA.

Scholarships based on need and merit with a preference given to students from Palm Beach County. Preference will also be given to students majoring in the Department of Education or the Pre-Law program. The award will be renewable to recipients who have maintained a minimum of a 3.0 GPA.

The purpose of the scholarship is to provide resources for the University to honor a baseball player each year as the Bill "Gator" White Scholar. Proceeds from the endowed scholarship will, at the recommendation of the Head Baseball coach and with the approval of the athletic director, provide enhanced scholarship assistance, improved baseball facilities or supplemental operational expenses.

Scholarship for students with strong personal motivation and high moral character, leadership in family, church, and social activities, academic potential, and willingness to provide partial self support for a college education.

To provide scholarships to students from DeLand High School who have significant financial need and are majoring in the School of Business Administration. If there are no eligible recipients, students from a West Volusia high school or with a major outside the School of Business Administration may be considered. The scholarship will be awarded each year to an entering freshman, so that in four years and thereafter, there is a Boulevard Tire Center Endowed Scholar in each class year. Students maintain the scholarship from entry to graduation (up to 8 semesters) with a minimum 2. 7 GP A at Stetson. 

 

To provide merit-based awards for rising seniors who are pursuing a Bachelor of Music Education in Instrumental Music degree or the equivalent. To be considered, students must have a minimum 3.0 GPA (based on a 4.0 scale), demonstrated leadership, service, and commitment to the Music Education program and the goal to become a band director. Awards will be made in addition to a student's existing aid package.

Scholarships for academically talented students who demonstrate a high standard of moral character and are involved in activities of social responsibility to attend Stetson University. First preference is given to graduates of Christopher Columbus High School in Miami, Florida. If there are no students from Christopher Columbus High School enrolled at Stetson in a given year, the scholarship may be awarded to a Stetson students who meets the other criteria and is from one of the following counties: Miami-Dade, Broward, Monroe or Palm Beach County. The recipient may maintain the scholarship from entry to graduation, provided that he or she maintains a 2.5 GPA and remains active in campus life.

Scholarships for academically talented and highly motivated students to attend Stetson University. First preference is given to graduates of Cheshire Academy in Cheshire, Connecticut. Second preference is given to children of independent grocery store owners. Recipients may maintain this scholarship from entry to graduation (up to eight semesters) provided they remain active in campus life and maintain a minimum 2.75 GPA. Candidates for the scholarship are expected to exceed Stetson's minimum admission requirements.

Established in honor of Paul R. Jenkins, Jr., who was Brenda Carole Jones Brown's teacher, mentor and friend, to provide scholarships for organ students at Stetson University. Students must be proficient in organ and demonstrate leadership skills through participation in campus life and community activities. Students may maintain this scholarship from entry to graduation with successful completion of coursework. Scholarship awards will be made through the standard award process of the School of Music.

This Scholarship is to be awarded to two students each year with input from the Religious Studies department chairperson. Recipients shall be preparing themselves for the Baptist Ministry, in need of financial assistance to remain enrolled at Stetson. This scholarship shall be available only to students who would not otherwise be able to complete their training for the Baptist Ministry except for the assistance this scholarship will give them.

Scholarship for minority students based solely on need, not on grades. Recipients must major within the College of Arts and Sciences, and preference is to be given to Volusia County students. Student must maintain a 2.0 GPA at Stetson University to maintain the award.

Scholarships for needy and deserving students.

Need-based scholarships with preference given to Accounting majors in the School of Business Administration involved in high school community service and/or sports.

Scholarships for students preparing for the ministry or the teaching profession.

To assist students who have financial need. Preference given to students majoring or minoring in Business Administration or to students from Marion County, Florida, majoring in any of the DeLand campus colleges or schools.

To assist applicants who demonstrate a desire to achieve a formal education but who could not otherwise attend Stetson University due to financial constraints.

To assist students with disabilities, with preference given to financially needy students with physical disabilities. Secondary preference is given to financially needy students who perform volunteer work to help those with disabilities. In the event that no student meets these criteria, the scholarship may be awarded for a period of one year (two semesters) to a student with financial need.

Scholarships for needy and deserving students in the School of Business Administration

To provide book awards for rising sophomore students who need financial assistance to purchase textbooks. It is intended to enhance student retention by addressing an often-neglected area of expense.

Scholarships for students in the Chemistry department.

Scholarships in memory of Stetson student Chris Davies for rising seniors in the School of Business Administration who plan careers in small businesses.

Scholarship for a student brass player based on need and merit. The Dean of the School of Music is involved in selection.

Scholarships for students who have shown evidence of their calling to the gospel ministry.

To assist student who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or questioning (LGBTQ) or are LGBTQ students who demonstrate commitment to and leadership potential for social justice and equality issues through demonstrated service and advocacy for the advancement of equal rights for gay and lesbian citizens. First preference should be for political science majors, but if no Political science majors are identified, any other student meeting these criteria may receive the scholarship. Faculty or staff who serve as advisors for any gay and lesbian student groups on campus may recommend eligible candidates to the office of financial aid.

The Class of 1967 endowed scholarship is being funded by members of the class of 1967. Details of the endowed fund are to be determined.

To provide assistance for undergraduate students who would not otherwise be able to attend college. The funds will either be used to reduce loan indebtedness or be in addition to institutional aid. The scholarship will be awarded to students from Volusia county, Florida who have shown leadership skills and have indicated a desire to pursue a career in law. Recipients will maintain a 3.0 GPA to continue to be eligible for future awards. The scholarship award may be renewed up to eight semesters.

The scholarship will be awarded based upon criteria deemed to be the greatest priority by the President and Vice President of Enrollment Management to support strategic initiatives.

To provide need-based scholarships for students in the School of Business Administration and/or students majoring in Economics. Recipients should be willing to commit to helping needy students by sponsoring similar scholarships in the future.

The purpose is to provide two scholarships for transfer students from Florida state colleges who have demonstrated financial need. Preference is given (in priority order) to transfers from Daytona State College, Valencia College and Seminole State College. Scholars are to be majoring in the College of Arts and Sciences with preference given to students who plan to or are majoring in American Studies. In priority order, students majoring in other fields, such as Education, History or Political Science may also be considered if they minor in or agree to take a class in American Studies while at Stetson. Preference is also given to well-rounded students who participated in extracurricular and leadership activities in high school and/or state college and who commit to being involved while at Stetson.

To provide need-based scholarships for students working to help finance their Stetson education with preference to high need students and minority students. Recipients are selected through the scholarship award process of Stetson University and may maintain the scholarship for up to eight semesters with successful completion of coursework. Scholars are asked to follow the example of the Clint Foundation by giving back to the community.

To assist students with financial need. The Dean of Admissions collaborates with the Dean of Arts and Sciences and/or the Chair of the Department of Teacher Education, Biology and Chemistry. Preference will be given to women who plan to major in Education or the Pre-medical sciences, and who contribute to their Stetson education during the academic year through employment on or off campus.

To provide need-based scholarships for students majoring in one of the disciplines of the Arts & Sciences based on academic promise or record of achievement at Stetson. The Director of Student Financial Planning will work in coordination with the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and the department chairs within the college in making the awards.

The purpose of the Scholarship is to assist U.S. military veterans who served honorably and are enrolled full-time at Stetson University. Qualifying applicants may be veterans from any branch of the U.S. Armed Forces including the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard and National Guard. Documentation of military service is required. The scholarship may be awarded to students enrolled in either a bachelors or masters degree program in the School or Business Administration or in the liberal arts excluding music and religion. Preference will be given to combat veterans. The scholarships recipients will have financial need as determined by the university's Office of Financial Aid. The scholarship may be ongoing for the duration of the scholarship recipient's academic program based on Stetson's Scholarship Renewal Policy published in the University Catalog and the donor's requirement of a 3.0 GPA.

The purpose of the ConMur Scholarship at Stetson University is to provide scholarships for deserving music education majors. The ConMur Scholarship was established by Dr. Frederick S. Conklin, Jr. and Dr. Earnest W. Murphy, Jr. Funding was initially provided by memorial gifts in memory of Frederick S. Conklin, Jr. and through the Conklin estate.

Scholarships to support Stetson students.

To provide scholarship assistance to Stetson University students studying in the School of Business Administration. Scholarship awards will be made through the award process of Stetson University. Recipients may maintain the scholarship from entry to graduation (up to 8 semesters) with successful completion of course work.

Merit-based scholarships to assist academically qualified and leadership oriented students. Awards are made to first-year students who plan to study in any of the schools or colleges on the DeLand campus. Recipients may maintain the scholarship from entry to graduation (up to 8 semesters) provided they continue to meet the scholarship criteria and represent its values, remain active in campus and community activities, and maintain at least a 2.7 grade point average. Scholarship recipients will be chosen on the basis of their anticipated enhancement of the religious and social life of students. Recipients will be students with high moral character, strong religious commitment, demonstrated leadership achievement in Christian churches and other religious organizations, and prior commitment to community service and continued involvement at Stetson. Some or all of the awards may be aligned with the Bonner Scholarship Award Criteria.

The purpose of this endowment is to provide financial support to full-time students for international travel. An endowed scholarship fund provides financial support that will enable more and more students to access transformational international learning opportunities, particularly programs led by Stetson faculty. The establishment of the endowment strengthens student and faculty confidence in the University's commitment to growing international learning, amplifying the communication campaign now in progress. The growth of this endowment, as we grow student participation rates in study abroad, will provide essential support for our goal of making international learning available to any Stetson student.

Will enable students to access transformational international learning opportunities, particularly programs led by Stetson faculty. Financial need may be taken into consideration, but will not be a necessary criterion.

The David and Sheila Urich Scholarship This scholarship award is to be made in addition to a student's financial aid package and not to be used as budget relieving funds for the University's merit awards. It will provide annual financial assistance for a student to assist in support services of various diversity, social justice and outreach programs at Stetson University. It is the wish of the Donor to expose students in a personal way to the legacies of pivotal members of the civil rights movement, such as Howard Thurman, in hopes that they might play a role in the future to help find solutions to social, religious and ethnic problems.

Scholarships for students in the School of Music.

Scholarships for junior or senior students in the School of Music showing high academic achievement, financial need and Christian leadership.

Need-based scholarships for graduates of the International Baccalaureate Program at Spruce Creek High School in Port Orange, Florida.

To provide merit-based scholarships for a rising junior or senior who is majoring in Digital Arts (with secondary consideration given to Marketing majors). Recipients may maintain the scholarship with successful completion of course work.

The scholarships will be awarded annually, based upon criteria deemed to be the greatest priority by the President and the Vice President of Enrollment Management. Some or all of the awards may be aligned with the Bonner Scholarship Award Criteria.

To provide scholarships for music students.

To provide need-based scholarships to students in the College of Arts & Sciences who are majoring in the Natural Sciences with plans to continue on to medical school or enter the bio-medical field.

To provide assistance for Elementary Education majors in the year they undertake student teaching (usually their senior year). Recipients must have financial need and exhibit the qualities of compassion and caring.

To assist academically and leadership oriented students in any of the schools or colleges on the DeLand campus who participate in activities that reflect a sense of social responsibility in alignment with the Bonner model, with preference given to ALANA (African-American, Latino, Asian or Native American) students.

To assist students majoring in the School of Music based on merit. Recipients may maintain the scholarship from entry to graduation, provided they remain in good academic standing. Scholarship recipients are selected through the scholarship award process of Stetson University and will be chosen by the Dean of the School of Music in consultation with Financial Aid.

The purpose of the Doyle and Mildred Carlton Scholarship program at Stetson University is to assist academically qualified and leadership oriented students. Scholarship preference is given to students from economically challenged families and/or students who are working to put themselves through college. Preference will be given to students committed to Christian ideals, as demonstrated by their strong religious commitment and their leadership achievement in churches and other religious organizations. Recipients will have demonstrated a high standard of moral character and participated in activities that have reflected a sense of social responsibility. Recipients maintain the scholarship from entry to graduation, provided they maintain a 2.7 GPA and remain active in campus life. Scholarship recipients are selected through the scholarship award process of Stetson University. The Dean of Admissions will coordinate a multi-faceted program to identify prospective Carlton Scholars, including recommendations from current leaders of student religious organizations.

To provide assistance in purchasing textbooks for first generation college students who have demonstrated financial need with a declared major in the College of Arts & Sciences. Recipients must have a cumulative, unweighted high school GPA of 3.7 (on a 4.0 scale), and have participated in extracurricular activities. Preference given to someone who participated in a service organization AND athletics OR band/orchestra/chorus OR held a PART-TIME job.

To provide scholarships for students who major or minor in Theatre Arts at the University.

The purpose of the Dr. J. Patrick and Janice Owens Figley Endowed Scholarship Fund is to provide assistance to students with demonstrated financial need and with the preference for the recipients to be students in pursuit of Christian Ministry; or Christian ministry as a parish pastor or a pastoral counselor; or in pursuit of a career in mental health counseling.

Scholarships for junior or senior students who show proficiency in Chemistry. This fund was created by a former parent and his daughter, a Stetson graduate, class of 1957, who received financial aid during a time of need.

The purpose of the scholarship is to assist students with demonstrated financial need who are piano majors in the School of Music.

Scholarships for students in the School of Music with preference given to majors in voice or choral conducting.

Merit based scholarships for Organ Majors in the School of Music.

The purpose of the Scholarship is to assist students who are majoring in Music Theory within the School of Music and will be awarded on a combination of financial need and scholastic merit. Students must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale). Recipients may maintain the Scholarship from entry to graduation (up to eight semesters) with successful completion of course work. Scholarship awards are made through the scholarship award process of the University. Recipients of the Scholarship are selected by the Office of Financial Aid in collaboration with the Dean of the School of Music, appropriate, faculty and staff and/or their designees. Scholarship budgets are determined annually by the Office of Finance. The Scholarship was established by Patricia M. Fort with a gift of $25,000 in December of 2017. Additional gifts may be made to the Scholarship at any time by any person or entity and are subject to the terms and conditions of this agreement.

Scholarships for students in the School of Music who have successful academic records but cannot meet their tuition increases. A committee chosen by the Dean of the School of Music will work closely with Student Financial Planning in making awards.

The purpose of the Scholarship is to provide scholarships to students in the College of Arts and Sciences with the preference given to students majoring in Political Science who have successful academic records but cannot meet tuition increased.

To provide two annual need-based scholarships for sophomore, junior or senior students with a 3.0 GPA. Preference is given to members of Phi Alpha Delta. Awarded prior to the beginning of the fall semester by a committee comprised of Chairs of Political Science Department, and Pre-Law Advisory Committee and representatives from Admissions and Financial Aid.

To provide need-based scholarships for students who plan to study in the School of Business Administration. Recipients will maintain the scholarship from entry to graduation, provided they maintain a 2.7 GPA and remain active in campus life.

Ministerial scholarships in memory of Earl B. Edington, a former Stetson Trustee.

To provide financial assistance for students from Volusia County with preference given to students from DeLand High School who have significant financial need and are majoring in the School of Business Administration. If there are no eligible recipients, students from within the state of Florida or with a major outside the School of Business Administration may be considered. It is the donors' intent that as sufficient funds are available this scholarship may be awarded to more than one student. Students may maintain the scholarship from entry to graduation (up to 8 semesters) with a minimum 2.7 GPA at Stetson.

To provide scholarships to deserving music performance majors in increments of $500. The Earnest and Katie Cochran Murphy Endowed Scholarship was established by Dr. Earnest W. Murphy, Jr in honor of his parents.

For scholarships to be awarded to students for "excellence in mathematics, science or engineering."

To provide scholarships for students enrolled at Stetson University with a preference to English majors.

Scholarships for qualified and deserving students studying: music, with preference given to the teaching of the playing of musical instruments, with emphasis on stringed instruments, especially violin; teaching; and medical arts, health, ie pre-med.

Scholarships to support Stetson students.

To provide merit-based scholarships with first preference to students majoring in Family Business. Recipients may maintain the Scholarship from entry to graduation (up to eight semesters) with successful completion of course work.

The scholarship will be awarded based upon criteria deemed to be the greatest priority by the President and Vice President of Enrollment Management to support strategic initiatives.

To provide an annual scholarship to a woman on the Volleyball team at the discretion of the Volleyball coach.

To provide scholarships based on athletic ability, financial need, sportsmanship, and citizenship. Recipients may maintain the scholarship from entry until eligibility is exhausted, providing they remain rostered women's tennis team members, meet the NCAA and University's athletic conference eligibility standards, and are not on any University or Athletic Department suspension or probation.

Scholarships for students studying orchestral stringed instruments.

To provide financial assistance to students with financial need with first preference to students who are from West Volusia County. Recipients may maintain the scholarships for up to four years (8 semesters) with successful completion of course work.

To provide a scholarship to a female piano major who is passionate about classical piano music and is deemed to have great promise as a classical piano musician. The scholarship recipient(s) will be selected through the Financial Aid Office in consultation with the dean of the School of Music and piano faculty and can be awarded to an incoming student or to a current student. Recipients may maintain the Scholarship from entry to graduation (up to eight semesters) with successful completion of coursework.

Endowed scholarship for part-time, non-traditional (undergraduate or graduate) students. Preference is given to Mount Dora Writers Guild members or Lake County residents. Preference is also given to needy students.

To provide scholarships to students studying abroad in Spain or France to cover expenses associated with the study abroad program such as travel, room, and board. Scholarship awards will be made to students majoring in Spanish or French, with preference to students with financial need. The scholarships are to be awarded in addition to the recipients' existing financial aid packages.

To provide scholarships in the School of Business based on financial need for students
interested in entrepreneurship and/or home business.

Scholarships to assist minority students in the School of Music. Preference is given to African-American and Hispanic students. The Dean of Admissions collaborates with the Dean of the School of Music.

Scholarships to Christian men and women who are students at Stetson University. Preference given to those who are preparing themselves for careers in church related activities or professions that spread the word of God.

Scholarships for students preparing to become ministers of the Baptist faith or planning to work in a church related vocation. Preference given to students from Putnam County. Baptist Collegiate Ministry makes selection.

To be used at the President's discretion to provide scholarships for applicants who are above average in personality and academic standing, and promise to teach in Florida public schools.

Scholarships for students who are succeeding academically at Stetson but cannot meet tuition increases. Preference given to students in history, political science and American Studies. The Director of Financial Planning will work in coordination with the Chairs of the Departments of History, Political Science, and American Studies in making the awards.

Endowed Scholarship Fund to provide assistance to low to moderate income students from Duval, Lee, Collier, Pinellas, Palm Beach, Broward or Miami Dade counties. Preference will be given to eligible students with the greatest need based on family income. Student may be enrolled part-time (6 credit hours), earn a minimum of 12 credits by the end of the academic year, and maintain a 2.5 GPA.

To assist low to moderate income students from one of the following counties: Duval, Lee, Collier, Pinellas, Palm Beach, Broward or Miami Dade. Preference will be given to eligible students with the greatest need based on household income. Students must be enrolled at least part-time (6 credit hours), earn a minimum of 12 credits by the end of each academic year, and maintain a 2.5 GP A. Students will consent to release grades and F ASF A information to the donor to confirm annual eligibility. The scholarship is renewable up to nine semesters. 

To provide financial assistance to worthy students at Stetson University. Preference given to students majoring in banking or business administration. Scholarship recipients will be selected through the scholarship award process of Stetson University.

To provide merit-based scholarships to students who major or minor in Family Enterprise. Recipients may maintain the Scholarship from entry to graduation (up to eight semesters) with successful completion of course work.

To provide need-based scholarships for students with a major in the School of Music. Recipients may maintain the scholarship from entry to graduation (for up to eight semesters) with successful completion of coursework.

The purpose of this scholarship is to provide financial assistance to first generation students.

To support scholarships for first-generation students at the University. This grant will directly impact the lives of many Stetson students and ensure that talented and financially-needy first-generation college students would continue to receive a quality liberal arts higher education.

Merit-based award for a Florida resident who is a part/full time student enrolled in classes in risk and/or insurance management and is interested in pursuing a career in this field.

Scholarships for graduates of DeLand High School planning a career in music and studying at Stetson's School of Music. Music ability (talent) primary concern, then need.

Scholarships for junior and senior students in the School of Music. Preference to string players.

To assist students who are majoring in Teacher Education and who have financial need to attend Stetson University. The donor has particular interest in preparing future teachers in skills needed to teach and assist students with learning disabilities.

To apply to the account of one or more needy Baptist students enrolled in the University who are preparing for full time Christian service, said student or students to be selected by the University. The Office of Financial Aid will identify student award recipients based on input from the student organization that serves Baptist students.

This Scholarship is to be used to assist worthy and needful young people in obtaining an education. Recipients must have a prior academic record that would lead Stetson to believe that the applicant would successfully complete the proposed course of study and, but for scholarship, said recipient because of economic stress, would not be able to avail themselves of the benefits to be derived from the additional education.

Scholarships to assist primarily Music Majors. Recommendations are to be made by the Director of Choirs or, if needed, by the Dean of the School of Music.

Scholarships for incoming students majoring in Political Science.

This Scholarship is to be awarded based on documented need and academic merit.

Need-based scholarships for students who have achieved at least a 3.0 GPA. Preference is given to students who have demonstrated a devotion to improving the world through environmental studies and programs and/or extensive community service.

To provide merit-based scholarships for outstanding graduate students in the Master of Science in Counseling programs. Recipients must have a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours, academic talent, leadership qualities, and exemplify altruism. Recipients may maintain the scholarship until graduation with successful completion of course work.

Scholarships to assist academically talented and leadership-oriented students who have financial need. Students should be from Florida or its surrounding states: Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, or Tennessee. Preference is given to students who demonstrate a high standard of moral character and who are involved in activities of social responsibility and/or are working to financially contribute to their education. Recipients maintain the scholarship from entry to graduation, providing they are able to maintain a 2.7 GPA.

The purpose of the Scholarship is to assist students attending the Stetson University School of Music.

To provide need-based scholarships to students at Stetson University. Recipients may maintain the award from entry to graduation as long as they maintain a C average.

Scholarships for music students.

(I) - The purpose of the Scholarship is to assist students with demonstrated financial need who identify as being politically conservative through their membership in the College Republican's Club or who are recommended by the faculty of the Political Science Department. Recipients must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 (based on a 4.0 scale) and may qualify to receive the scholarship for up to eight semesters.(II) - Scholarship recipients will be informed of the name of the scholarship, the reason that they are receiving it (based on qualities listed above) and will receive a copy of the Current Financial Planner newsletter featuring the ""There's a Reason I'm Here"" article and photo (copy of the newsletter is attached to this agreement.) Sharing information about ""their"" scholarship donor is an important learning experience for the student recipients. It helps them realize that there is a real person whose generosity is making it possible for them to afford the high-quality education that Stetson offers.

To enable undergraduate students in good academic standing to participate in Stetson University approved international study abroad programs, which are a primary mechanism for transformative intercultural learning and promote global awareness and understanding. Preference should be given to sophomore, junior, or senior level students.

Scholarships with first preference to students pursuing a Master's of Business Administration degree (MBA) after completion of a Bachelor's degree in the Arts and Sciences. After successful completion of the first year of study toward the MBA degree, the recipient will be eligible to maintain the scholarship for the second year. If there is no eligible MBA candidate, a student participating in the Washington Semester Program may receive the scholarship. If neither option produces a candidate, award to be held. Financial need or GPA will not be a factor in granting the scholarship.

Need-based scholarships for non-traditional students.

The purpose of the Gustave E. and Gena H. Johnson Scholarship at Stetson University is to provide scholarships. First preference is given to ministerial students preparing for the pastoral or other church staff minister. Second preference to students preparing to be missionaries. Third preference is given to needy, Christian students.

Competition for voice majors enrolled in the Applied Voice course who have passed the Sophomore Decision with the permission of voice instructor. Students to submit Request to Perform and perform two compositions in different languages before 3 off-campus judges. The award will be available to the winner in the fall of the following year to be applied to the costs involved in attending Stetson as a music major.

To assist undergraduate students in attending Stetson University. Preference is given to undergraduate School of Business students on the DeLand campus majoring in Family Business. Recipients maintain the Scholarship from entry to graduation (up to 8 semesters) provided they continue to meet the criteria, remain active in campus life, and maintain a 2.7 GPA.

The purpose of the Scholarship is to assist students with financial need who are from Alachua County, Florida, with first preference for students from Newberry. If there are no eligible students from Alachua County in any given year, the scholarship may be awarded to any student from Florida with financial need.

Scholarships for students in the School of Business. Preference will be given to female students with financial need who are in their junior or senior year, majoring in the field of Business or Finance. Donor prefers two recipients at a minimum.

To assist academically qualified students. Preference will be given to students majoring in Business Administration or in Chemistry, with one student from each area. Recipients may maintain the scholarship through graduation provided they maintain a 2.5 GPA and remain active in campus life. The Dean of Admissions will collaborate with the Dean of the School of Business Administration and the Chair of the Chemistry Department and/or the Dean of the CAS.

To assist Christian students of high moral character who are majoring in Music. Recipients should be full-time students who are U.S. citizens and in need of financial assistance in order to continue their efforts at Stetson and/or graduate. Preference is given to students with at least a 2.7 GPA.

To provide financial assistance to students in the Education Department with preference given to graduate students. The Gaylord family is interested in equipping teachers with the skills needed to teach and assist students with learning disabilities.

To provide need-based scholarships for students majoring in English or Philosophy. The recipients will be sophomores who have demonstrated excellence in their respective programs. Recipients may maintain the scholarship for up to three years, depending on continued pursuit of the major, their grades (3.2 GPA minimum on a 4.0 scale overall and in the major), and recommendation of the department. Scholarship winners will be expected to write annually on accomplishments in their English or Philosophy studies as Harry L. and Janet Howard Taylor Scholars.

A need-based scholarship to support student athletes.

The purpose of the Scholarship is to provide assistance for students with demonstrated financial need, with preference given to first generation immigrants (students whose parent or parents immigrated to the United States). The recipient will be eligible to retain the scholarship for up to eight semesters.

To provide scholarships for needy and deserving students that would not otherwise be able to obtain an education.

Heebner Family Memorial Business Scholarship - for students enrolled in the School of Business Administration programs.

Scholarships for Music School students.

Scholarships for members of Delta Delta Delta Sorority who demonstrate leadership, moral character and social concern and who are involved in campus activities. This is a memorial fund for Helen Taylor Brown, who established the first Alumni office in the early 1950s at the request of then President, J. Ollie Edmunds. A scholarship committee makes the recommendations.

Unrestricted scholarships.

To provide need-based scholarships for students from Polk County, with first preference for students from Lakeland. Recipients may maintain the Scholarship from entry to graduation (up to eight semesters) with successful completion of course work. Awards are made through the scholarship award process of the University. Recipients are selected by the Office of Financial Aid. Selection may include collaboration with appropriate Deans, faculty and staff.

Four-year renewable scholarship for students who demonstrate leadership in high school activities and continue involvement in leadership at Stetson. Some evidence of need required.

Need-based scholarships. Mr. Culbertson appreciated the student aid he received while attending Stetson.

Scholarships with preference to chemistry majors.

The Fund will provide financial assistance to one or more students participating in the Washington Semester Program at American University. This scholarship will be awarded in addition to students existing financial aid package.

The purpose of the Scholarship is to provide need-based scholarships to assist students from economically challenged families who are working to put themselves through college. Students must financially contribute to their Stetson education during the academic year through the Federal Work Study Program or University employment. Scholarship awards are made to students who plan to study in the College of Arts and Sciences (excluding majors in Theatre Arts) or the School of Business Administration. The annual budgeted scholarship distribution each year should be divided equally between two recipients. The Scholarship is renewable with a 3.0 grade point average and remain active in campus life.

The purpose of the Scholarship is to provide need-based scholarships to assist students from economically challenged families who are working to put themselves through college. Students must financially contribute to their Stetson education during the academic year through the Federal Work Study Program or University employment. Scholarship awards are made to students who plan to study in the College of Arts and Sciences (excluding majors in Theatre Arts) or the School of Business Administration. Recipients are to each receive $12,500 (4 scholars at $12,500 each for an annual total of $50,000) from entry to graduation (up to eight semesters), provided they maintain a 3.0 grade point average and remain active in campus life.

Scholarships to students of stringed instruments in Music.

To provide scholarships for undergraduate students with high academic achievement and financial need in the School of Business Administration.

Scholarships for needy students deserving financial assistance. Recipients must maintain an average academic performance, possess Christian character, give evidence of good citizenship, and indicate a desire for educational advancement.

Awarded on basis of academic performance and potential, leadership ability and evidence of strong moral character, regardless of applicant's financial circumstances.

Scholarships in the aid of worthy students in Christian education.

To provide need-based scholarship for students majoring in elementary education.

This nationally-competitive scholarship is a merit-based, full four-year undergraduate scholarship with the goal to attract student scholars whose intelligence, attitude, character, communication skills, and drive give them the potential for leadership on the Stetson University campus and success beyond.

Merit scholarships paying full tuition, room, board, and fees for students who possess a secondary GPA of at least 3.5; rank in the top 5% of senior class; and minimum combined SAT of 1300 or an ACT composite of at least 30. These are students who have distinguished themselves in academics, leadership, character, and personal achievements in athletics and/or the arts. Edmunds Scholarship Selection Committee makes selection.

Need-based scholarships to students in the School of Business who are majoring in accounting or finance and have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA.

To provide financial assistance to deserving students. Preference will be given to Baptist students who plan to become ministers. Scholarship recipients will be selected through the scholarship award process of Stetson University, with input from faculty members in the Religious Studies Department.

Unrestricted scholarships.

To provide need-based scholarships for students majoring in the School of Business Administration who are involved in the Joseph C. Prince Entrepreneurship Program or entrepreneurship studies, either as a major or a minor.

Scholarships for junior and senior students in the College of Arts & Sciences. First preference is given to Florida residents who are majors in Elementary Education. Second preference will be given to students in general education. The Chair of the Department of Education will make recommendations to Financial Aid, considering the students' enthusiasm, integrity and leadership qualities when making the recommendations.

To provide merit-based scholarships with first preference to students majoring in Family Business. Recipients will be recommended by the Director of the Family Business Center based on the Life Plan that Family Business students are required to submit in the class FE 235, "Family Enterprise: Family, Self, and Enterprise." Recipients will possess a spirit of adventure, sense of purpose, and commitment to positive values and unending personal growth. Recipients may maintain the scholarship from entry to graduation (up to eight semesters) with successful completion of course work.

To provide scholarships to Stetson students who are visually impaired.

To assist students who are majors in the School of Music. This scholarship is to be awarded based on student's talent and their intent to make music their profession. Whenever possible, this scholarship is to be awarded to one student per year, consecutively for all four years.

Provides need-based scholarships.

To provide Athletic scholarships for male golfers. The recipient will be known as the James "Booty" Nance Scholar.

Scholarships for candidates who will be accepted to Medical School, based on merit, character and financial need. Pre-Med Advisory Committee to choose recipients.

With the scholarship portion of the Heman Endowment, designated for students “majoring in language, with preference given to English majors,” we will offer two scholarships annually. The awards will be determined by representatives from Modern Languages and English, selected by the chairs, in consultation with the Dean and Enrollment Management. Preference will be given first to a double-major (any Modern Language and English), then to an English major taking a minor in any Modern Language, or a Modern Language major taking a minor in English. When possible, we will select one student in the first or second year and one student in the third or fourth year. These scholarships may be renewed for up to four years of undergraduate study in a language major, if academic standards are met (full-time study, adequate progress, 3.0 or higher GPA cumulatively and in the language major)."

To provide financial assistance to female students majoring in Teacher Education. Scholarship recipients will be selected through the scholarship award process of Stetson University.

To provide scholarships for needy and deserving young men and women who are pursuing degrees related to medical professions or allied health professions at Stetson University.

To provide room and board scholarships to students who have been selected to live in the Hillel House, demonstrate financial need, are in good standing with the University, and have been determined eligible by the Office of Financial Aid.

The purpose of the Scholarship is to provide financial assistance, without consideration of financial need, to deserving students in the School of Business Administration. The students must have demonstrated a high degree of integrity and achieved a minimum of 2.7 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) in high school. Preference will be given to students active in the Joseph C. Prince Entrepreneurial Program or majors or minors in the Family Enterprise Center.

80% of the Financial Aid budget is to be awarded to students participating in the Intercollegiate Athletics Program. A minimum of 2.75 high school GPA is required and they are renewable with a 2.5 GPA. 20% of the annual Financial Aid budget is to be awarded to one or more outstanding new pledges of the Pi Beta Phi sorority. This is a non-renewable award and recipients will be nominated by the members of Pi Beta Phi, and reviewed by Mr. and Mrs. Troxel.

Need-based scholarship for Business, Music, or Ministerial students.

Scholarships to assist ministerial students with a preference for students planning on entering the foreign missionary field as missionaries.

Need-based scholarship for students in mathematics and computer science.

Scholarship based on merit and need for students who major in chemistry and/or who choose to pursue a medical degree. Moral character, personal initiative, and leadership skills considered.

To provide merit-based scholarships to residents from the western part of Volusia County who are of Christian orientation. Preference given to students majoring in the School of Business who maintain a 3.0 GPA.

To provide financial assistance to deserving students, with first preference given to students pursuing a career in the ministry, and second preference given to dependents of pastors or church professional staff members. All Pelham Scholars will be chosen on the basis of their strong religious commitments and their demonstrated leadership achievement in churches and other religious organizations. Recipients will have demonstrated a high standard of moral character and participated in activities that have reflected a sense of social responsibility. Recipients are selected through the scholarship award process of Stetson University with the following additional requirements: Students preparing for a career in the ministry must make public their commitment and calling to the ministry; be recommended by their home church; and must take the required course work in Religious Studies at Stetson. Recipients must maintain a 2.5 GPA.

Scholarships for young people who otherwise might not be able to pursue an education at Stetson University.

Scholarships for ministerial, agricultural and music students.

To provide merit-based scholarships for students with financial needs. First preference shall be given to students that were residents of the Florida Baptist Children's Homes. Also, preference shall be given to students from Polk County, Florida and those students who are teacher education majors.

Scholarships for undergraduates majoring in accounting or finance, or graduate students in a Public or Business Administration Program whose major was accounting or finance. Recipients must have a 3.0 GPA and have completed Stetson's Government Accounting course with a final grade of at least a 3.0. Students must submit a completed application to Financial Aid with a copy of their transcript and letter of recommendation from their dean, department chair or major professor.

The purpose of the June Dillard Bower-Marks Quasi-Endowed Scholarship is to provide need-based scholarships for students in the College of Arts & Sciences with preference given to students majoring in Teacher Education. Recipients may maintain the Scholarship from entry to graduation (up to eight semesters) with successful completion of course work.

Recipient should be a rising junior or senior member of the women's crew team. This individual should demonstrate exceptional enthusiasm, team work, and leadership in the sport.

Scholarships for music students.

To provide need- and merit-based scholarships to Stetson University students. Preference is given to students majoring in Finance and Management. Recipients may maintain the scholarship (up to 8 semesters) with a 3.0 GPA.

To enable academically qualified students from Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Poland, or Switzerland to attend Stetson's School of Business.

The purpose of the Scholarship is to assist students in the School of Business Administration at Stetson University to study in central Europe (Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Poland, or Switzerland) or to assist academically qualified students from those European countries to attend Stetson University’s School of Business Administration.

The purpose of the Scholarship is to provide financial assistance to Stetson University students who are majoring in Teacher Education, with first preference for students from Lee or Collier counties. Students may maintain the scholarship from entry to graduation (up to eight semesters).

To assist academically-talented and motivated students who have financial need. Preference is given to students from the southeastern United States. Recipients must demonstrate a high standard of moral character and are involved in activities of social responsibility and/or working to financially contribute to their Stetson education. Recipients may maintain the scholarship from entry to graduation, providing they maintain a minimum 2.7 grade point average.

Scholarships for ministerial students.

The purpose of the scholarship is to provide assistance for Lambda Chi brothers or legacies (including children and grandchildren) exclusively. Recipients will be encouraged to ""pay it forward"" and continue to support the Brotherhood into the future. Scholarships will be awarded after the initial $25,000 has been received and would underwrite need-based and merit scholarships provided to brothers or legacies of Lambda Chi Alpha. Specifically, 80% of the scholarship awards each year will go to students with demonstrated financial need and 20% will be merit awards.

This scholarship will provide financial support to a student on the Women's Golf Team who excels academically. The recipient must be an outstanding student having a high school GPA of 3.0 or higher and maintain a 2.75 GPA while competing on the Women's Golf Team.

To provide merit-based assistance to students who are majoring in the College of Arts and Sciences.

Scholarships that recognize students of unusual ability, academic achievement, and commitment to principled citizenship. Preference is given to students majoring in Philosophy or other related fields, i.e. Religious Studies, English, or History. A campus scholarship committee will present eligible applicants to the Lawson committee who will make a recommendation. The campus committee shall also make decisions as to whether to renew these scholarships on the basis of the scholarship criteria. Eligible to be renewed for up to eight semesters of undergraduate study at Stetson or through its Study Abroad programs.

Need-based scholarships for students who major in Music and perform and/or participate in the band or symphony.

To provide assistance to students from Volusia County, Florida, with financial need. Scholarship recipients will be selected through the scholarship award process of Stetson University.

Need-based scholarships for Christian female students who are residents of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee or Virginia.

The purpose of the Lewis & Geraldine Schmidt and Charles & Irma Fix Scholarship is to honor the outstanding work ethic of a junior or senior student enrolled in Applied Clarinet who is active in the School of Music programs. The one-time award is intended to reduce loan indebtedness, rather than replace any funding sources, and should be awarded in addition to institutional aid. Recipients must have a minimum of 2.5 GPA to be eligible. Student recipients are expected to maintain personal contact with the families through the Office of Stewardship during the award year.

Need-based scholarships for students in the School of Business.

This scholarship shall enable worthy Christian students of at least 18 years of age and not over 25. Recipients shall be selected based on documented need and must be verified as having been residents of the state of Florida for not less than two years prior to receiving the scholarship.

The purpose of the Scholarship is to provide financial assistance to Stetson University students to participate in Stetson University approved international study abroad/international learning opportunities, with first preference given to students who are the children of Stetson University employees.

The purpose of this academic merit scholarship is to provide assistance for academically talented students with first preference to a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha (PIKE) Fraternity. A successful candidate will exhibit strong leadership qualities, care deeply about others, be skilled at helping people make connections with one another, have a love for team sports, be resilient in spirit, and find great joy in helping others. The scholarship is intended to reduce the recipients' loan indebtedness (subsidized loans), rather than replace gift aid, so it should be awarded only after all applicable federal, state and institutional gift aid has been awarded.

Need-based scholarships to assist students from Highlands and Polk counties to attend Stetson University. Secondary preference is given to financially needy students who work part time while attending Stetson University. In the event that no student meets the criteria, the scholarship may be awarded for a period of one year (two semesters) to a student with family need. Scholarship recipients may maintain the scholarship from entry to graduation (up to a maximum of 8 semesters) as long as they successfully complete their coursework with a 2.7 GPA.

The purpose of the Scholarship is to assist students with demonstrated financial need who incoming weighted GPA is between a 3.6 - 4.0 on a 5.0 scale. Recipients are required to take a public speaking class and first preference will be given to students who also choose to take two consecutive years of foreign language, currently the University's standard requirement. At Stetson, the recipients must maintain a 2.75 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) in order to maintain the scholarship for up to eight semesters.

Scholarships for students in the School of Music.

The purpose of the Scholarship is to provide financial assistance to students from Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy in Melbourne, Florida. If no students from Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy qualify, the scholarship may be awarded to other students from Florida who have financial need and are majoring in the College of Arts and Sciences. Students may maintain the scholarship from entry to graduation (up to eight semesters): with a minimum 2.5 GP A (on a scale of 4. 0) at Stetson.

Based on a combination of merit and need, Hollis scholarships will be awarded to students majoring in the Teacher Education Program. Recipients must demonstrate a commitment to community service. Recipients may maintain the scholarship from entry to graduation (up to eight semesters) provided they continue to meet the scholarship criteria and represent its values, remain active in campus and community activities, and maintain at least a 2.7 GPA. Established in May 2002 with an initial transfer of $25,000 from the Renaissance Endowment Fund

The purpose of the Mark and Lynn Hollis Scholarship is to assist students who possess a drive and determination to be successful at Stetson University, given the challenges of a rigorous academic program. These are students who have a lot of heart and a positive attitude, but may have struggled with GP As or SAT scores. Scholarship preference is given to freshmen.The individual scholarship award amounts will not fall below 10% of the published tuition price for each year in which the student receives funds from the Scholarship. Recipients maintain the scholarship from entry to graduation, providing they are able to successfully complete the coursework at Stetson University. The Hollis Family would like to maintain personal contact with the Mark and Lynn Hollis Scholars during those students' years at Stetson. Established in May 1997 with an initial gift of $16,892

Scholarships for incoming freshmen in the School of Business with financial need. Recipients must have maintained a "B" average in the last 3 years of high school and have achieved SAT scores at least 50 points higher than the mean of the SAT scores for all freshman admitted to Stetson last year. Preference to incoming "B" students as opposed to "A" students. Recipients may maintain the award for 4 years provided they maintain a 3.0 GPA.

To assist academically qualified and leadership oriented students to attend Stetson University. Recipients will be chosen on the basis of their strong Christian commitment, their demonstrated leadership achievement in churches and other religious organizations, and their anticipated enhancement of the religious and social life of students at Stetson University. Recipients will have demonstrated a high standard of moral character and participated in activities that have reflected a sense of social responsibility. The leaders of campus religious organizations are involved in the selection process. Recipients maintain the scholarship from entry to graduation, providing they maintain a 2.7 GPA and remain active in campus life.

To assist academically qualified and leadership oriented students to attend Stetson Univeristy. Recipients will be chosen on the basis of their strong Christian commitment, their demonstrated leadership achievement in chuches and other religious organizations, and their anticipated enhancement of the religious and social life of students at Stetson University. Recipients will have demonstrated a high standard of moral character and participated in activities that have reflected a sense of social responsibility. The leaders of campus religious organizations are involved in the selection process. Recipients maintain the scholarship from entry to graduation, providing they maintain a 2.7 grade point average and remain active in campus life.

To provide scholarships to music majors who need financial assistance in order to complete their college education. First priority will be given to voice majors followed by Music Education, and if there are no qualified candidates in either of these two areas, then select a candidate from another music major or, if necessary, another field of endeavor.

The purpose of the Scholarship is to assist students who are enrolled in the School of Business Administration and who have financial need and a minimum 3.3 GPA.

Scholarships for students participating in the Washington Semester Program at American University.

To provide assistance for students to study or have related experiential learning opportunities in the Republic of South Korea and/or to bring South Korean students to study at Stetson. If Stetson is unable to award this scholarship for three successive years, the criteria may be expanded to include the countries of Taiwan, Philippines and Israel.

The purpose of the scholarship is to provide assistance for students with financial need who participated in the First Serve PAL program of Palm Beach County, Florida. Students must meet Stetson University's normal academic quality standards for admittance and applications for admission must be submitted by the priority deadline as listed on Stetson's website or catalog for that entry term. Late applications may be considered on a case by case basis. The leadership of the First Serve PAL program (currently Sonny Maken, Executive Director) is enouraged to send letters of recommendation for qualified candidates who might be considered for this scholarship. The First Serve PAL program administration will promote this scholarship to their participants, however, admission to the university is determined solely by the Office of Enrollment Management at Stetson University. Recommendations should be mailed to the Executive Director of Admissions at Stetson University.

Scholarships for Jewish students who plan to study in the School of Business. Students must successfully complete course work.

Scholarships for men in the Men's Golf Program.

The purpose of the Merridy Williams Memorial Endowed Flute Scholarship is to provide financial assistance to flute majors. This Scholarship will be awarded in addition to the students' existing financial aid package. Awards shall be based primarily on ability and musical performance merit, and then, secondarily, based on financial need. Recipients shall be selected by the Dean of the School of Music in collaboration with faculty and according to the policies of the University.

The purpose of the Scholarship is to provide two endowed Michael Fronk Peer Influencer Scholarships each academic year in the amount of $2,000 each. The recipients will be undergraduate peer influencers who are trained to actively engage in reducing on-campus drug abuse and addiction that can lead to crisis. This award will be in addition to the student's existing financial aid package. The Dean of Students (or his/her designee) will screen potential scholarship recipients and work in collaboration with the Office of Financial Aid to make the final selections.

To provide scholarships to students with financial need, who are studying in the School of Business Administration, with preference to those with majors in Management. Recipients chosen will have provided service to the School of Business Administration, community, and/or the University, and have performed well academically. Scholarships will be awarded to those with junior or senior standing in the year they receive the scholarship. The scholarship may be renewed for rising seniors who continue to meet the criteria.

Annual scholarship for an athlete who is majoring in the School of Business.

Scholarships for students in the School of Music.

The fund will be used to set up an endowment that will provide income to provide scholarships to one or more students enrolled at Stetson University who possess average to above average academic skills and have financial needs. Preference should be given to students whose academic concentration is in the natural sciences. The scholarship may provide up to Seventy-Five percent (75%) of the student's cost for tuition and room and board. Grantor intends that Stetson University assist the scholarship recipients to meet any financial need through the granting of work-study positions or through student loan programs. A scholarship grant to any one student may be renewed for up to four years.

To provide scholarships for Junior or Senior female students in the School of Business Administration based on academic merit, financial need, proven leadership, personal motivation and Christian character.

The purpose of the Scholarship is to provide scholarship assistance for students majoring in the School of Music who have demonstrated financial need. It is the wish of the Donors that the same student(s) receive the scholarship during their time at Stetson, for a maximum of eight semesters, if they continue to meet the preceding criteria. Awards are made through the scholarship awarding process of the University. Recipients of the Scholarship are selected by the Office of Financial Aid and, when appropriate, in collaboration with the Dean of the School of Music and/or their designee. Scholarship budgets are determined annually by the Office of Finance.

To provide need-based scholarships for students who meet or exceed minimum admission requirements.

The purpose of the Nierenberg Family Endowed Scholarship at Stetson University is to provide assistance to deserving students.

Need-based scholarships for worthy students in the School of Music irrespective of race, color and creed.

The purpose of this merit-based Scholarship is to provide scholarship assistance for students in the School of Music who maintain a GPA of at least 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale). First preference is to recruit Hispanic students from Miami-Dade or Broward Counties, but may be awarded to non-Hispanic students if few Hispanic students quality. Second preference is to retain students who meet the criteria above and who otherwise might leave Stetson for financial reasons. Awards will be made in addition to a student's initial aid package to provide the necessary financial incentive for the student to attend Stetson.

To provide full scholarships to two students beginning in 1999. In keeping with the annual Award letters from the Palm Beach Community Trust Fund, this scholarship is to be used for students enrolled in Liberal Arts majors.

The Pat and Patricia Wilson Endowed Scholarship is a continuation of the annual scholarship that the donor and her late husband, Pat T. Wilson '49, funded for many years. The purpose of the scholarship is to assist academically qualified female student-athletes with financial need to attend the University. Recipients may maintain the scholarship from entry to graduation.

Scholarships for students with financial need who are majoring in mathematics or physical science. Other considerations would include personal motivation and moral character.

To provide need-based scholarships to students majoring within the College of Arts and Sciences. Recipients may maintain the scholarship from entry to graduation (up to eight semesters) with successful completion of course work.

To provide scholarships for no more than one or two students majoring in Business.

The purpose of this scholarship is to provide need-based scholarship assistance for economically challenged students from DeLand, Florida with a preference for those who are working to put themselves through college.

The purpose of the Scholarship is to provide financial assistance to Pi Kappa Alpha brothers or legacies (including children and grandchildren) exclusively.  Recipients will be encouraged to "pay it forward" and continue to support the Brotherhood into the future. Recipients of the Scholarship are selected by the Office of Financial Aid after collaboration with the President of the Pi Kappa Alpha Alumni Association or his designee. Scholarships will be awarded after the initial $25,000 has been received and would underwrite merit scholarships provided to brothers or legacies of Pi Kappa Alpha.  The intent is to provide a scholarship award to each active brother.  Additionally, 20% of the annual distribution will be held in reserve to support any hardship situations.  This reserved portion will be applied as additional aid.

The scholarship will be awarded based upon criteria deemed to be the greatest priority by the President and the Vice President of Enrollment Management to support strategic initiatives.

To provide need-based scholarships for junior or senior students who would not otherwise be able to attend Stetson University due to lack of sufficient financial resources. Recipients must be majoring in either History or in the School of Business Administration and have demonstrated "leadership involvement." Recipients must maintain a 2.75 GPA on a 4.0 scale or the equivalent on any other scale. A student transferring into Stetson as a junior or senior will not be eligible for an award under this scholarship fund until they have achieved at least a 2.75 GPA at Stetson.

To provide assistance to students majoring in the Department of Teacher Education. Recipients must have graduated from a Florida high school; have met all of the entrance requirements of Stetson University; have a minimum cumulative high school G.P.A. of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale); be an active Christian, Catholic or Protestant; and be a citizen of the United States. One student per year will receive the award, and it will be renewable to that student annually if he/she maintains a minimum 3.0 G.PA. (on a 4.0 scale). Recipients will be selected through the scholarship award process of Stetson University.

Scholarships for students who are parishioners of the First Baptist Church of Eustis, FL or who are studying to become ministers, ministers of music, and ministers of Christian education or who are majors in education or music. The First Baptist Church of Eustis, FL, makes recommendations.

Criteria:
The purpose of the R. Dean Hollis Scholarship is to provide scholarships for undergraduate students in the Teacher Education Program and the School of Business. Scholarships are awarded annually to students who maintain at least a 2.7 grade point average. Preference is given to students who participate in extracurricular activities, intramurals, and/or Greek life.
Administration:

Need-based scholarship awards.

To provide need-based scholarships for students with significant financial need who are eligible for the Pell Grant and who have a strong work ethic. Recipients are required to work part-time on or off campus and/or actively volunteer as directed by the Center for Community Engagement or the appropriate department. Recipients may maintain the scholarship from entry to graduation (up to eight semesters) by maintaining a minimum GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale.

Scholarships with preference to students who are parishioners of First Baptist Church of Eustis, Florida. The University shall use any excess funds to provide financial assistance to students with preference given to ministerial students (those studying to become ministers, including ministers of music and ministers of Christian education), or students who are majoring in education or music. The First Baptist Church of Eustis, FL, makes recommendations.

To provide assistance to students in the School of Music with financial need who play a string instrument.

The purpose of the scholarship is to provide assistance for full-time students who meet the following criteria: 

• Must be a citizen of Jamaica
• Have attended high school in Jamaica for at least 5 years
• Academic merit demonstrated by a high school GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
• Scholarship recipients may be considered to receive the award for up to 4 years for undergraduate degree programs and may be renewed provided they maintain a 3.25 GPA on a 4.0 scale. Award is renewable for up to 4 years for undergraduates and may be renewed as long as the student maintains the minimum credits recommended for their degree program (12 minimum).

To support student scholarships.

The purpose of the scholarship is to provide financial assistance for academically talented students who are Christian. Each year the scholarship budget will be split evenly between two students: one majoring within the College of Arts and Sciences (excluding those majoring in the natural sciences or Sport and Exercise Science) and one within the School of Music. In the event that only one student should meet the criteria, that student may receive the full award amount. In the event that no student should meet the criteria, the scholarship will not be awarded in that academic year. Recipients may maintain the scholarship for eight semesters from entry to graduation provided they maintain a 2.7 GPA (on a 4.0 scale).

Scholarships for students studying in the School of Music.

To provide financial assistance to students who have had a change in their financial situation for which they are without fault risking their continued enrollment at the University. Recipients of such financial assistance shall have unmet financial need based on the FASFA needs analysis and shall have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5.

To provide scholarships for highly motivated, leadership oriented students from Volusia County, FL. Recipients may maintain scholarship from entry to graduation, providing they successfully complete course work at Stetson and remain active in campus life.

Scholarships for academic achievement, for well-rounded and active students demonstrating leadership, moral character, social concern, and campus involvement.

The sole purpose of The Kelton Endowed Scholarship Fund is to provide financial assistance to one Stetson University student with junior or senior academic standing who demonstrates financial need and is a DeLand High School Graduate annually. The awarded amount may be used for tuition, books, and lodging expenses directly related to the student's Stetson experience. Awards are to be made over and above any other institutional financial assistance. Awards shall be equally divided between the Fall and Spring semesters. The term "DeLand High School" means Deland High School or its successor.

To provide merit-based scholarships for students who play intercollegiate tennis at Stetson and maintain at least a 3.0 GPA. Recipients may maintain the award from entry to graduation (up to eight semesters) with successful completion of coursework.

To provide scholarships to undergraduate students in the School of Business who are majoring in Accounting or Business. The scholarship will be awarded to students from Southwest Florida defined as Hillsborough, Manatee, Sarasota, Charlotte, Lee, and Collier counties. The award is merit based, with preference given to students who may not otherwise be covered by financial aid. Scholarship recipients are selected through the scholarship award process of Stetson University. The Director of Student Financial Planning collaborates with the Dean of the School of Business Administration in making the awards.

Scholarships for music students or instructors of music students based on need, talent or instructional benefit. May also provide for additional research or study by individual students in music areas. Dean of School of Music involved in selection.

To provide funding for students who wish to participate in a travel course in the department of Religious Studies. Students must apply for the scholarships through the faculty sponsor of the trip. Applicants must have a cumulative minimum Stetson GPA of 3.0, and must have completed one Religious Studies course at Stetson University prior to the travel course. Preference is given to students whose career goals are the professional ministry or the teaching of religious studies, or to students who are majors or minors in Religious Studies. The scholarships will usually range from $750 - $1,000 each.

To provide scholarships for students in the Humanities who are succeeding academically at Stetson University but have difficulty meeting their costs. Of particular interest would be students who because of changed family circumstances are financially challenged. Preference should be given to Philosophy majors or minors and/or to students who are the first in their family to attend college if there are such Humanity students in need. This scholarship is renewable if the need continues as long as the recipient maintains a satisfactory academic progress and is a full-time student. The Dean of Admissions and financial aid will work with the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences in making the awards.

To assist students with financial need. Recipients may maintain the scholarship from entry to graduation, provided they remain in good academic standing.

The purpose of the Scholarship is to assist students with demonstrated financial need to graduated from Seabreeze High School in Daytona Beach, Florida, Mainland High School in Daytona Beach, Florida or any other high school in Volusia County.

Provides scholarships without regard to need or merit for students in the School of Business, with preference given to finance majors.

Scholarships for music students who are deemed to be deserving of financial assistance by the Dean of the School of Music.

To assist high-need students with at least a 2.75 grade point average, with preference given to students majoring in math or finance, or participating in Study Abroad. The scholarship is intended to reduce the recipients' loan indebtedness (subsidized loans), rather than replace gift aid, so it should be awarded only after all applicable federal, state and institutional gift aid has been awarded. Scholarships are renewable as long as the recipients maintain a 2.75 grade point average.

The purpose of the Scholarship is to provide scholarship grants that help meet the full demonstrated need of students with a minimum high school GPA of 3.5. Students may maintain the scholarship from entry to graduation (up to eight semesters) with a minimum 2.5 GPA (on a scale of 4.0) at Stetson.

Scholarship for students in Special Education who demonstrate excellence in teaching and also demonstrate Christian values in their everyday living.

Provides financial assistance to talented students in the Music School.

To provide scholarship funds to students with strong moral character with preference given to pre-vet majors or students who major in the natural sciences.

To provide scholarships within the School of Music.

To award two scholarships of approximately $12,500 each, with preference given to incoming first-year students who care deeply about Florida's environment. Recipients should be interested in interning, doing field experience and/or completing a research project with the Naples Botanical Garden on pressing issues affecting Florida's environment. Students from any academic major relevant to environmental issues are welcome. Students should maintain the scholarship for four years (8 semesters) with successful completion of course work. If there are no appropriate first-year students, upper-class students may be considered.

Need-based scholarships for students in the School of Business with preference to students who would not otherwise be able to return to Stetson the following year. Recipients chosen by Dean of School of Business Administration.

To assist students at Stetson University majoring in Environmental Science and who are directly involved with the "Institute for Water and Environmental Resilience" program. The scholarships are based on financial need and academic merit and are renewable for up to four years (8 semesters) as long as the recipients maintain a 3.0 GPA.

To assist two incoming freshman students with financial need who are graduates from New Smyrna Beach High School. Scholarship recipients must have graduated from New Smyrna Beach High School with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Each student should receive $2,500 per year. Recipients may maintain the scholarship from entry to graduation, but for no longer than four (4) continuous years, provided they remain in good academic standing.

To provide assistance for students majoring in accounting in the Stetson University School of Business Administration. Recipients must have a minimum 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale), an active scholastic life, and a need for financial aid. Recipients may maintain the scholarship from entry to graduation (up to eight semesters) with a 3.0 GPA. It is the donor's intention that the scholarships be awarded to at least five students.

To provide assistance for students majoring in accounting in the Stetson University School of Business Administration. Recipients must have a minimum 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale), an active scholastic life, and a need for financial aid. Recipients may maintain the scholarship from entry to graduation (up to eight semesters) with a 3.0 GPA. It is the donor’s intention that the scholarship be awarded to at least five students.

Scholarships awarded as follows:
1.) At least one award to a student studying Family Business as a major or minor. Recipients may maintain the scholarship from entry to graduation (up to 8 semesters) providing they maintain a 2.7 GPA and remain active in campus life.
2.) Other awards to academically talented and leadership-oriented students selected on the basis of academic achievement, demonstrated leadership achievement in Christian churches and other Christian organizations, and anticipated enhancement of the religious and social life of students at Stetson. Awards made to first-year or transfer students at the DeLand campus. Recipients may maintain the scholarship from entry to graduation (up to 8 semesters) providing they maintain a 2.7 GPA and remain active in campus life.
3.) Other awards will be need-based for rising juniors or seniors who reflect Christian ideals and values in their personal lifestyles and career goals.

To provide merit-based scholarships to Stetson students who are residents of Lee, Charlotte, or Collier Counties who excel both academically (maintain a minimum GPA of 2.75) and in extracurricular activities. First preference is given to returning seniors; if there are no eligible seniors, second preference will be given to returning juniors and transfer students with junior and senior status.

To provide scholarships for Pre-Med students.

To provide need and merit based scholarships to students in the School of Business. Recipients may maintain the scholarship from entry to graduation, or eight semesters, provided they maintain a 2.5 GPA.

To provide need-based scholarships in the School of Business: $25,000 to assist transfer students in their third and fourth years; $10,000 at the discretion of the Dean of the School of Business.

The purpose of the Scholarship is to provide a need-based scholarship for students from Polk County, with first preference for students from Lakeland. Recipients may maintain the Scholarship from entry to graduation (up to eight semesters) with successful completion of course work.

To provide need- or merit-based scholarships for incoming first-year students who declare a major within the School of Business Administration with first preference to students majoring in Finance. Each student should receive a scholarship worth approximately $5,000 per year. Recipients may maintain the Scholarship from entry to graduation (up to eight semesters) with a 2.75 GPA at Stetson.

To provide assistance for Stetson University students with financial need who are from Pennsylvania, with first preference given to students from the Academy of the New Church Secondary Schools and the Bryn Athyn College in Bryn Athyn, Pennsylvania. In the event there is not a student available from Pennsylvania in any academic year, the scholarship may be awarded to any student with financial need.

An annual scholarship awarded to a woman on the golf team on the basis of financial need, athletic ability and merit.

To assist academically qualified students with strong writing skills to attend the University. Preference is given to English majors or English-Creative Writing minors with demonstrated strengths in creative writing who possess a high school GPA of 3.0. Recipients may maintain the scholarship from entry to graduation provided they maintain a 2.7 GPA and they take an approved English Department creative writing class by the spring of their junior year.

Scholarship for sophomores exhibiting scholastic excellence, preferably to student working toward a degree which alleviates suffering in elder persons, whether through medical, enrichment, emotional, financial or management studies.

The purpose of the Scholarship is to provide one-time $2000 need-based scholarships for students who are current members of the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity and who have participated in the national Pi Kappa Phi's Ability Experience. First preference is given to Journey of Hope participant(s). Recipients must be in good standing with the University. This award is intended to provide financial assistance in addition to the student's existing financial aid package. If ability Experience events are cancelled (either temporarily or permanently), this scholarship may be used for retention purposes of Pi Kappa Phi members and will be administered in the same manner as outlined below. Recipients of the Scholarship are nominated by the President of the Pi Kappa Phi Alumni Advisory Board and the chapter President and approved and awarded by the Office of Financial Aid. Selection may include collaboration with appropriate staff in the Office of Development and Alumni Engagement.

The fund will provide $5,000 for restricted gifts in the 2020-2021 academic year for students who are current members of the Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity and who have participated in the national Pi Kappa Phi's Ability Experience. First preference is given to Journey of Hope participants.

To provide scholarships for deserving students majoring in the field of foreign languages.

To provide financial assistance to Stetson University students in recognition of their community work and scholastic achievement. Preference will be given to graduates of DeLand High School.

This scholarship is intended to benefit students accepted to Stetson who wish to continue their competitive shooting involvement, as a member of the Stetson Clay Target Team or its successor team if the name of the organization should change. It shall be awarded to qualified students who have demonstrated expertise in competitive shooting. Awards will be in the amount of $1,000 per academic year, in addition to any other financial aid received. This scholarship is renewable for a maximum of three additional years provided the recipient continues to meet scholarship requirements, including maintaining a 2.5 or greater cumulative grade point average and remaining in good standing with the Team.

A need-based scholarship designed to provide financial assistance to students with demonstrated financial need who are majoring in Theater Arts.

The purpose of the scholarship is to provide financial assistance for students in the School of Music and the Vocal Music Program who maintain a GPA of at least a 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) and who otherwise may not be able to enroll or remain enrolled for financial reasons. Awards are to be made over and above institutional financial aid to provide the necessary financial support for the students to persist at Stetson.

The purpose of the International Student Financial Hardship Fund is to provide emergency financial assistance to full time, degree seeking international students who experience an unexpected financial hardship while attending Stetson University. Recipients of the Scholarship are selected by the Office of Financial Aid in collaboration with the International Student and Scholar Service Coordinator (within the office of WORLD International Learning) and the Dean of Students or his/her designee.

This scholarship is to honor TC Lane and to continue his legacy at Stetson University. TC, Tom Cornelius, had significant impact on those around him and his story continues to empower Stetson students to find and realize their potential. Like TC, recipients of this scholarship should be dedicated to learn, serve, lead and to make a difference in the world. This scholarship will assist junior and senior students majoring in political science. Second preference is given to upper class students majoring in history.

This scholarship is for students with financial need. Recipients must have and maintain a 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) and have a strong character, personal initiative and be majoring within the College of Arts and Sciences. Preference will be given to residents of Pinellas County, Florida. The scholarship is renewable up to eight semesters.

To provide need-based scholarships at Stetson University.

The scholarship will be used to annually assist a student with demonstrated financial need who is an organ major in the second, third of fourth year in the School of Music. The scholarship is to be used to supplement and enhance financial support for students above and beyond any other financial support award.

Scholarships to assist academically talented and highly motivated students in attending Stetson University. Scholarship awards are made to students who plan to major in the School of Business with preference given to students from the Jacksonville area.

Assists low to moderate income students from one of the following counties: Duval, Lee, Collier, Pinellas, Palm Beach, Broward or Miami Dade. Preference will be given to eligible students with the greatest need based on household income. Students must be enrolled at least part-time (6 credit hours), earn a minimum of 12 credits by the end of each academic year and maintain a 2.5 GPA. Students will consent to release grades and FASFA information to the donor to confirm annual eligibility. Renewable up to nine semesters.

Scholarships for music students. Any excess funds for scholarships for any other students based on need.

Scholarships in the School of Music based on performing talent and financial need. Recipients will be selected by the Dean of the School of Music on the basis of performing talent and financial need. The students will be expected to maintain a 2.5 grade point average and to participate actively in the musical life of Stetson and the community.

Need-based scholarships in the College of Arts & Sciences. Recipients are selected through the scholarship award process of Stetson University and may maintain the scholarship from entry to graduation provided they maintain a 2.7 GPA. This scholarship was established by Marilou Horton, her friends and family, in memory of her husband, Tom, after his passing in 2003.

To provide need-based scholarships for undergraduate students in the School of Business Administration. Recipients must have a 2.7 GPA, and will be chosen based on academic promise or record of achievement at Stetson.

Specifically, this gift is designated for the creation of the following endowment which will be operated in perpetuity: the Vera Lea Rinker Endowed Student Scholarships.

These young men must be of high moral character, high academic potential, and lacking the necessary family funding, or other financial resources, with the exception of monies received under the G.I. Bill of Rights.

Scholarship for students who desire to become Baptist ministers; ministers of music or education; or home or foreign missionaries.

Quasi-endowed fund established by the Board of Trustees to meet the needs of students who are unable to register because of balances due to their student accounts.

Scholarships for Florida residents in the College of Arts & Sciences with a 3.0 GPA. Preference is given to students majoring in a natural science with financial need.

The purpose of the Scholarship is to assist students with demonstrated financial need who majoring in Music Education and entering their Junior or Senior year with a strong desire to reach instrumental or vocal music. The scholarship will be awarded on an alternating basis each year - one year to an Instrumental Music Education major and the next year to a Choral Music Education Major. The Dean of the School of Music or their designee will have the discretion to override that process.

Scholarships for worthy individuals.

The purpose of the Scholarship is to assist students with demonstrated financial need who are majoring in Education. Students must maintain a minimum 2.75 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) to be eligible to receive the scholarship for up to eight semesters.

Scholarships for academically talented and leadership oriented students who might not otherwise be able to afford to attend Stetson. At least one male and female student with superior academic achievement and leadership ability are chosen annually as Hollis Leadership Scholars. Other scholarships are awarded to middle income students, needy students, and minority students. Established December 1990 with an initial gift of $400,000

Need-based scholarships for incoming freshmen who are graduating from a West Volusia high school and who plan to major in the School of Business. Recipients must maintain a 3.0 GPA.

The purpose of the Scholarship is to provide financial assistance for students in the School of Music. The Scholarship will annually be awarded to four (4) students who are each pursuing a bachelor of music degree and participating in a string quartet chamber program. The scholarships are to be awarded annually up to $5,000 per student which will be applied towards enrollment costs at Stetson University and the School of Music. 

The Wingfield Trust Music Scholars will be selected by audition and renewed annually based on academic merit and financial need. 

Student recipients must develop ??nd maintain a high level of academic and artistic achievements during their residency at the School of Music. Eligibility criteria will be based on talent and ability of the student.
